Arrival in Molise (D)
Arrival at your Bed and Breakfast, welcome drink, dinner and overnight.
Say…cheese! (B, L, D)
An unforgettable hands-on experience in an organic farm. After an introduction by our guide, you will meet a local cheese maker. You will learn the different phases of the cheese production, the ingredients and the aging procedure. A visit to the dairy and to the whole premises of the farm as well as a delicious cheese-based lunch is included.
At the end of this rural experience you will discover the “Volturno Valley”. The walk will immerse you in the wild atmosphere of the National Park where woodlands are extensive and animals are wild and free.
Back to the B&B you will have time to relax with a refreshing glass of…olive oil. You will taste the flavour of different kind of fresh olive oil, together with a nice dinner and local wine.
Truffle hunting experience. (B, L)
An intense day immersed in the central area of Molise, together with Gilda, Ciccio, Trifora, Gessica, Kira, our pet friends that will teach you how to find a truffle! After this charming walk surrounded by giant trees you will have a special truffle tasting.
In the afternoon, your Tour Guide will lead you on a discovery of the fascinating archaeological site of Altilia-Saepinum, considered today one of the most beautiful ancient cities in Italy. A testament that preserves almost intact a splendid theatre and the entire urban structure of the old city, in the middle of the Tratturo, the ancient transhumance route.
Free time for dinner. Overnight.
Last but not least….Tintilia: your wine tasting experience! (B, L)
Your last day in Molise is reserved for our native vine: Tintilia.
Together with an expert guide, you will discover the secrets of the vine and the ancient art of harvesting. From the field, you will pass to the cellar with a sensorial workshop on the color, smell, and taste of Tintilia.
The visit will end with a farewell lunch and wine tasting in a typical relais!
